How this tracker works
Rather than telling you the bill, this page tells you the budget: how many miles you have left, spread evenly over the months remaining in your lease. It's the same engine as the mileage overage calculator — same inputs, same math — with the verdict framed as a monthly and daily allowance instead of a projected charge.
Frequently asked questions
How many miles per month am I allowed?
Your annual allowance divided by 12 is the average, but this tracker gives you a more useful number: your remaining allowance divided by the months actually left in your lease, which adjusts as you drive.
What if I go over pace one month but catch up later?
Only the total at lease-end matters for the overage charge — a slow month and a fast month can offset each other. This tracker's budget-per-month number is simply your remaining allowance spread evenly over your remaining months, recalculated fresh each time you check.
Can I bookmark this and check back later?
Yes — use the "Copy link to my numbers" button. Your inputs are saved in the link's URL, and the as-of date always recomputes as today, so revisiting the bookmark next month and updating your odometer gives a fresh answer.
Does this tool share my odometer data with my lease company?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is sent to a server.
